Just finished the book Sister by Rosamund Lupton and loved it but was wondering what others thought of the end? :)

A bit ambiguous, wasn't it? The book was a great read though

I read it in a couple of days, definitely a page turner and couldn't work out what had happened to Tess until near the end.

I didn't like the end. In the author notes, Rosamund Lipton says that she leaves it to the reader to decide what happens.

I hate that, I think it's lazy and a bit of a cop out.

Agree - would rather know. Plus not sure about the lawyer Hmm

The lawyer wasn't real though was he? That spoilt it for me - the fact that that whole part of the story was a fabrication (it's a bit like the whole Bobby Uwing in the shower storyline!!). That said, although I was slightly disappointed in the ending, I found the rest of the book completely compelling - couldn't put it down ...

I was very disapppointed by the end.... Spoilt an otherwise really good book.

I never finished it got bored at around 150 pages.

Agree absolutely loved it and then once the doctor told her who was guilty and they went to the police the whole book just became a bit of a shambles.

I enjoyed the ending of this book. It suddenly dawned on me that the whole safe "conversation" with her sister had been in her head and she was dying. Whether she dies or not is another matter. I really related to the sister relationshio and the grief, but felt let down by the poor research on what could reasonably happen even on a shambolic nhs maternity wrad. Two babies die unexpectedly and the notes can't be foundand no one can say who was present at the births/deaths or who registered them? Baby deaths are a big deal on a ward: EVERYONE would know. Just daft. Along with the research doctor's reaction. I wonder if the police procedures were as poorly represented. Oh well, would still recommend it as great page turner
