dillydally · 17/10/2005 13:50

Is Piers Morgan the insider any good?
I want to read it.

hhhhenleyonthames · 17/10/2005 13:51

Not recntly, but Laura Sage's "Bad Blood" is a very good book.

beansprout · 17/10/2005 13:52

The Piers Morgan book is FAB!

lilibet · 17/10/2005 16:26

Roisin recommended Blue Eyed Son by Nicky Campbell to me and it was very good. Never liked him much before, but after reading it thought he seemd an ok bloke.

mears · 17/10/2005 16:36

Lance Armstrong - read that so I could be sure it was OK to give to DS's friend who was diagnosed with cancer. It really helped him.

Michael J Fox was good too.

anorak · 17/10/2005 16:38

Bob Dylan's 'Chronicles'.

jolou1 · 17/10/2005 16:38

Think the Joanna Lumley one where she uses all the rooms in her house as prompts to tell her life story sounds quite interesting. (And yet its been out for more than a year and I can't remember the title, so obviously am not a great advocate for it...)

FauxVampire · 17/10/2005 21:06

Don't read Laura Blundy - it's an awful book (by Julie Myerson) - totally inept.

Janet Street-Porter's one, Baggage, is a quick, easy read - I'm convinced she dictated it. She's vituperative v. her mother especially.

How about Nigel Slater's Toast? Another celeb who can't forgive his mum and dad, but otherwise a light, fairly jolly read. I didn't like him as much after reading it, but I still like his take on food.

Or John Peel's - just out? I want to read that.

TurQorTreat · 18/10/2005 10:38

I got bored with the Joanna Lumley one, shame because I really like her.
Piers Morgan one is juicy fun, good for dipping into.

bundle · 18/10/2005 10:44

Recently read Harry Thompson's This thing of darkness which is the life story of Captain Fitzroy and Charles Darwin. Excellent book, if a tad long.

elitemeetupCOD · 21/10/2005 14:07

Lonelymum · 21/10/2005 19:49

greenmonsterbean, thanks for that recommendation. It sounds interesting.

skinnycow · 21/10/2005 20:13

have read Frank Skinner - hilarious esp the bit about the hooker

also Piers Morgan - v good and juicy
and Jordan - quite amusing

suedonim · 21/10/2005 20:27

I enjoyed the Frank Skinner book. V funny and he also comes across as being quite sweetly vulnerable.
