It took me ages to get it, I had to order it from Amazon.com in the end because after I'd waited 4 weeks Amazon.co.uk emailed to say it would be another 3-5 weeks. Did you manage to get a copy? Would love to know what you thought of it.

No, I didn't order it in the end! I did reread the Heritage of the Star though.

Yes, I think it was. It certainly answered a lot of the questions that were left at the end of the first book. I had wondered for years what would happen with Talyra and whether they would sort the metal problem out in time for the prophecy to be fulfilled. Noren becomes a much more complicated, and slightly less likable character in the later books, but the story still rolls along very well.

I think it's a bit like Iris Murdock or Doris Lessing in its moral tone for people who also like a good story (or like me are intellectually incapable of concentrating for long enough to get the point ).
