Anyone else enjoyed this? Liked the idea of a diary kept on the same day each year (wish I had thought of that). Found the idea that each year we live through the eventual day of our death quite disturbing though. Lots of topical references for those who left uni in late 1980s. Film coming next year.

I absolutely loved it. But then I graduated within a year of the characters, moved to London like them, lived near they did and did similar jobs. In fact, rather spookily, it was as if the author and stalked me for the first 10 years of my life after leaving university and then written about me. And he got it exactly right - the book was exactly how it was! I've never read a book and had that experience.

yes emma needs to be slightly chubby. and a bit gawky, in her younger years. and northern. ann hathaway is not ticking any of those boxes for me!

Definitely needs to be northern yy. If they make her posh and southern I will be jolly cross. I would be perfect for her Grin. Maybe in her later years anyway.
