Does anyone sell books online? What's the best place ? And is it worth selling hardbacks with postage costing much more?

There's a company I buy from through Amazon called little green book company. You could always try them and see if they buy privately?

Or see if there's a local bookshop nearby?

You can sell them on amazon

No local second hand shops. Might try a day out at a book town but that may cost ms more

Are people prepared to pay hardback postage?

Try greenmetropolis. Easy to list you just enter the isbn. There is a standard price but you can add more for p and p if you like. You won't shift lots quickly but i list books i am finished with, store them under the stairs and get them out for posting if i get an order. I just use my credit for buying more books but you can cash it in.

Thanks , that sounds worth a shot. I can store them under the bed for now. Some are worth more & will go on ebay or something but it was the general ones I struggled with.

I tend to use Green Metropolis for popular paperbacks and Amazon for more specialist or heavier stuff. Generally on Amazon I list at the cheapest price that other people are selling at, although obviously making sure that that covers postage and fees! Have sold some heavier books that way - not going to make a fortune doing it though
