Dunno chuck, haven't read any of them. D'you not fancy a bit of Danielle Steel ?

marthamoo · 22/08/2005 23:07

If you want another to add to the pile I just read The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and it was brilliant.

JoolsToo · 22/08/2005 23:09

Not heard of any of them but do like Nicci Gerrard - so start with that!

Janh · 22/08/2005 23:11

Me neither, chuck (moo, have you been tapping my phone?)

DD1 has just donated to me the books she bought at the airport when she went to summer camp - one is a Marion Keyes (The Other Side of the Story, haven't started that yet) and the other is My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult which is shaping up v well so far, although she says it gets pretty gut-wrenching later - amazon reviews .

(No help to you I know TC but you could put it on your wish list maybe )

Beanfrog · 22/08/2005 23:17

I read The Cutting Room some time ago and I can't really remember much about it apart from that it was a good story but a little predictable. I have a feeling it was a bit disturbing so don't read it if your feeling fraglie!

Janh · 22/08/2005 23:18

TC, stick 'em in amazon's search and look at the reviews

marthamoo · 22/08/2005 23:18

Oh I liked that Jodi Picoult one, Jan - have bought The Pact by her but haven't started it yet. Also bought The Time Traveller's Wife and haven't started that yet either. I should stop myself buying books when I already have ones waiting to be read. So many books, so little time...

JoolsToo · 22/08/2005 23:20

My Sister's Keeper was excellent and am about a third way through The Pact which is also v. good.

Also read Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult - also a good story.

marthamoo · 22/08/2005 23:20

And I accidentally popped this in my basket when ordering an OS map on Amazon.

JoolsToo · 22/08/2005 23:21

I'm the same moo - every time I go to Tesco - well at £3 odd you can't leave em on the shelf

Hmmm, will leave the cutting room till after I've had the baby, not sure I could read it now as things liek that seem to effect me more when I'm pregnant.

I've read 'food of love' as Littlerach said, its a very easy read but I wouldn't rave about it personally. Some of the characters annoyed me a bit but I won't say anymore cos I don't want to spoil it ! Worth a read though.

Demented · 23/08/2005 15:47

The only one on your list I have read is Unravelled, which was a very quick and easy read (although the subject matter is not easy). I read this before Hannah's Gift, not realising it was a sequel (one of those supermarket moments, I didn't read the back properly and thought it was a witty take on motherhood type book). If you have read Hannah's Gift it fills in many of the gaps left in the story.
