I’ve never done WW- would it work for me?

I’m struggling at the moment, I’m perimenopausal, have an underactive thyroid and I’ve just started HRT. I have a stone and a bit to lose and I have spent the whole of this year gaining/losing/gaining /losing the same 5lbs which is becoming soul destroying. I calorie count now, but I just cannot consistently get my calories low enough to lose. I exercise a fair bit, running, walking and gym classes and there’s so much conflicting advice about eating calories back or not but I’m genuinely hungry if I run and then end up eating rubbish. I think I’ve actually forgotten what a healthy diet looks like and I don’t know how to eat. I don’t eat a lot of bread/pasta/rice/cereal etc (if any) and I cook from scratch. I just feel totally fed up and I’m thinking ahead to next summer and thinking I do not want to continue to feel this way.

I did SW years ago, but I’ve never done WW. I was looking online but I don’t understand the structure- is it all online now? If I do Core (there’s a £10 a month offer on at the mo?) can I not attend groups? Can you do groups at first and then drop back to just core once you know the basics? What does a days food look like typically?

How many cals per day ?

I (obviously) eat healthy real foods et cetera but also have to restrict calories to lose even a gram.

Some of the calculators out there give women the idea they can eat much more than they can.

What height are you?
