Has anyone got any tips for a beginner and any good meal ideas for someone on a budget?

Hi @EssJayyCee I saw your post on the other thread.

I also am on a budget and have been following weightwatchers. It is possible to do but you do have to commit to meal planning carefully.

Are you able to/comfortable cooking from scratch? and what sort of daily points limit do you have? maybe i can suggest either recipes or just specific foods to work with?

Meal plan. Then you deffo are only getting what you need.l and will stop food waste.

The app is invaluable. You can search recipes by just one ingredient. So you can search from cheap fillers like chickpeas and lentils and it'll ping you such a variety of stuff.

Keep it seasonal.

Frozen and tinned with fruit and veg can be just as good.

If it's cheaper to buy in bulk. Do it and cook a few extra portions and freeze.

I've been doing WW for 7 months now and my food bill hasn't changed at all.

There are lots of mince recipes (5% fat) and I use chicken thighs in place of breast. More points but more taste too. Some of the veggie meals are good such as Moroccan style shepherds pie. Frozen fish is much cheaper then fresh.
