New and feeling ill - is it withdrawal?

I've started Monday and so far am fine with flexing. I need to plan and do some food shopping to be better prepared but all good so far
Since Tuesday though I've had a headache and aching neck and shoulders and a bit nauseous. I'm wondering is it some sort of symptoms of withdrawal from carbs and sugar? If it is this, does anyone have any tips on what can help me. I've been taking paracetamol and up-ing my salt

Were you eating a lot of carbs/sugar? Could you just be ill?

gettingtherequickly · 05/07/2018 22:14

Drink plenty of water, I'm an old hand at WW and usually feel hunger panges for the first couple of days, but headaches are usually related to dehydration.

WowLookAtYou · 05/07/2018 22:15

I can't see why it would lead to those symptoms. So yes, agree with the previous poster, that you might just simply be unwell. Heat stroke????

Thebag · 05/07/2018 23:22

It could be the heat or a bad headache that's just a coincidence, or it could be this: www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/side-effects

Now OP. You've bumped this, then gone missing! Have you sucumbed (sp) to something?

Thebag · 06/07/2018 11:50

Fairy nuff. At least you enjoyed yourself before going on the straight and narrow! Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 06/07/2018 19:03

If you really enjoy your carbs, had you thought about WW NoCount, which doesn't restrict them as much?

Thebag · 06/07/2018 20:23

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants. Hi good point, I did no count a few years ago and really enjoyed it. My reasons for doing flex this time is to try to eat less but to eat from a wide range of foods rather than a limited range like no count. I might be wrong here But having said that, I'm still eating with a no count mindset and not eating all my daily points.

You can jump on and off it, so might be worth a couple of days of giving it a go? I am amazed at some of the Nocount recipes on facebook. You still have your weeklies and Fit points for wine other things not on nocount.

Thebag · 07/07/2018 14:17

Thanks spongebob My meeting is Monday night so I’m going to read up and plan for no count this weekend and make a start Monday/Tuesday. As long as I can have my wine at the weekend I'll be fine. 😀
