Hello, just joined WW. Iv got 3 stone to lose and would love 2 stone to have gone in 3 months time... Is this unrealistic? I know it'll be tough but am really going to go for it.

No, that's not unrealistic if you follow the plan rigidly and up your activity levels. Good luck!

Thanks cleanbean that's helpful. Sticking with it - first week done :)

Hope your first weigh in went well. Are you going to meeting or online? E-source is brilliant for recipes and info and the forums on there are very good for extra support.

I'm doing it online and the forums do look useful. First week's weight loss was 6lbs but this is a bit of a misleading figure as my starting weight was from the middle of the day, whereas I'm going to do my weekly weigh ins first thing in the morning when I'm lightest. Still pleased though as probably 3lbs or so actual weight loss.

It's unreasonable for me. I just don't lose weight quickly. In 3 months I would expect 1.7 stone maximum. In reality it will probably be more like 1 stone. But everyone is different of course.

I've been doing weightwatchers since January. So far all weight loss has been just down to the diet as I have not yet upped my activity levels. I have lost 16lbs in 14 weeks. I probably could have lost more if I had been more active, and maybe eaten even less, but so far after the initial 3 weeks where I felt like I was really altering my lifestyle, it now is pretty easy going. I joined with my SIL and she has lost 20lbs in the same amount of time, and she had less to loose than me.

I think 2 stones in 2 months is doable, but you will need to seriously up your activity levels as well and following the diet plan.

Good Luck.

I started in January and at 3 months, (13 weeks this week) I have lost 33 lb and am still averaging 2lb per week. I am a teacher so am on my feet a lot and can easily do 10 000 steps a day but am not doing any extra exercise yet. I also eat very little of the weekly points, not too hard as DH is doing MFP so is being careful as well.

Another 1 stone to reach a healthy BMI. I am aiming to reach this by my birthday at the end of May. I will have a think about final goals.

Thanks all. Being realistic 2 stone in 3 months might be too much but I'm just concentrating day to day at the minute and on course to lose anither 3lbs or so this week.

Its taken me 20 months to lose 3 and a half stone. And i dont cheat before you start! Some of us just dont lose weight quickly and get fed up of being pressured or not being believed about what we eat by those that do lose quickly.

I lost weight quickly the first time. Seven stone in seven months. Ten stone in all. Got gallstones. Yes Education that was a real party Two docs and a surgeon told me it was due to losing weight too fast. Had to wait nearly a year for an op while being taken back and forth to casualty and/or rolling around the bed screaming in pain. How long do you think ppl will have to wait for an op now with NHS lists the way they are.

And i didnt gain all the weight back either Just the weight which i have recently lost

So if you want everything yesterday go right ahead. But ive got more patience than that.

No idea with Education said, but the aim of my thread was just to get an idea of possible weight loss following WW as i've never done it before.

Congratulations HelenaDove on your recent weight loss. I sympathise with the gallstones - i've had GS pain in the past and it is dreadful.
