Breakfasts on the go.

Hi, I'm looking to start weight watchers and whilst I can plan my lunch/dinner/snacks I always fall down at breakfast. I work 3 days a week and eat breakfast at my desk so I can't cook anything. There are no cooking/cleaning facilities at work other than a microwave. What are your suggestions for filling breakfasts on the go. TIA

Pot of plain yoghurt? I find protein based breakfasts more filling. 150g low fat yog is only 2 points, and you could take some fruit to have alongside.

I have a small pot of Greek yogurt, really filling. I take a hit on the extra points for full fat an am not hungry until lunch.

Thank you :) that's portable enough, or I can buy it on the way in.

If you can face biscuits for breakfast and have an Aldi near you, their milk and cereal breakfast biscuits come in packs of 3 biscuits for 4 points. My breakfast most days is 2 x cappucinos made with 100ml skimmed milk each and a pack of aldi breakfast biscuits, total 6 points, which takes me to lunchtime easily.

(For comparison, Belvita choc and nut breakfast biscuits come in packs of 4 for 6 points (I used to eat 2 for breakfast (3 points) before I discovered the Aldi ones!)

There is an Aldi near us. I can walk for the exercise and pick some up :) great idea, thank you.

I bought a breville active blend and make myself a smoothie each morning either with fruit and water or add a bit of yougert or almond milk. Can easily fill me up til lunch and only a point of two depending on what you use

I eat breakfast mid morning usually in my car (community nurse) so it has to be quick. I usually take fruit so its point free too - today was a banana, an orange and chopped tinned pineapple. Kept me going until lunch Smile

I've find the most filling breakfast to be a smoothie made with some milk, a banana and some oats (about 20g). Also a tbsp of chia seeds, but I think it's mainly the oats and banana that's keeping me full.

Yoghurt is a good suggestion. You could also try making a fritatta or similar the night before (for dinner or lunch) and taking it into work.

Have you got a kettle? I've find porridge pots more filling than the sachets, but they're also more expensive. Or you can get microwaveable porridge pots now, and make your own.
