Can anyone talk to me about being a WW Consultant?

My Group Leader suggested that I might like to consider becoming a Leader, and I agreed thinking of a date in the distant future when I eventually got to goal (currently 1/2 stone away).

But then today, I got a call inviting me to an interview in Brent Cross on Tuesday, during which I have to give a 10 minute presentation.

Apparently they are recruiting in my area and you can train before you become a Gold Member so you can start your own group when you get to goal.

Does anyone know what the pay is like, what they won't tell me about the role on Tuesday or even what to expect at the interview?

It will be my first job interview in over 15 years and I am a little nervous about it.

I cantvtell you exactly about the pay but my leader (I'm a clerk) has said its a good thing she has another job as its not a massive income. Shes a very popular and successful leader too. They say on the website that you can make about 30k doing 8 meetings a week but who does that really?! I can't imagine an area that has need for 8 meetings a week that doesn't already have several. I believe a lot of it is commission based, selling from the shop etc, and also based on member retition. Having said that if its something that interests you, that you feel you could do well and you don't need to rely on it for income, I'd say go for it. Its something I'd definitely consider if my circumstances were different.

I got through the interview stage, but have opted not to go for training at this stage as in my area (which is huge) they are looking for people who can take on weekend groups (or 7.30am midweek groups) which with 3 Primary age DC it wouldn't really fit in as I would be struggling for childcare a lot of the time.

Once the DC get older it might be quite a nice job, but it would never replace DH salary.

A friend of mine trained up to become a leader but only did it for about a year once she had 'qualified'

She found it required a lot of additional time (planning etc) as well as the actual time running the classes which she hadn't really banked on I don't think
