I am doing ww i lost a couple of stone with ww easily before having my dd She is 2 now and I now need to lose about 40 pounds. I Started at ww on saturday but I am already struggling! I dont think I will lose much if any weight this week at this rate.
I am supposed to be doing this simple start thing but I am finding it really hard - I am so hungry all the time. I think I must either be doing it really wrong or have serious food issues...

I have basically been eating the meals in the little book they give you but tbh a lot of them have been a little um...bland? and I am starving in between...

Can anyone offer any advice - to I just need to get used to it??

isn't simple start like healthy and filling but without the weekly points on top?

If so then your portions are too small if you are hungry all the time.

and also there's no need for food to be bland, use herbs and spices to liven it up.

I started Weightwatchers last week. I have not done Simple Start and have been counting points instead. I find it much easier to keep control of what I am eating that way. Maybe that might work better for you? I have not felt hungry this week and had my first weigh in this morning and had a big loss so this seems to work for me. Maybe persevere with Simple Start until your weigh in and then have a chat with your leader.

I started this week and have chosen to point from the start. But the sure start booklet is dull. Invest in lots of paprika, garlic ( or garlic powder), lemon juice and fresh herbs. They make it tasty. Check out the skinny taste website for lots of ideas. Focus on the lean protein and eat loads of veg! I'm having this for dinner www.weightwatchers.co.uk/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=7073932&sc=11 on some Ryvita. It looks sure start friendly.

I'm starting (for free - using the infinitely better Ultimate Food Value Diary app). I won't be dong Simple Start, just going straight into PPs. I don't know why they added it on tbh. Too much like Slimming World which seems dull to me.

I've been with WW since April and not fluted a single point! fandH all the way! Have you seen the new book yet it has some good ideas in. I have never been hungry on fandH I think it's surprising how much you can eat!

Fudgeface123 · 12/12/2014 14:56

Simple Start is no more, it's just PP and F&H now :-)

tobysmum77 · 13/12/2014 15:57

f&h rocks imo. It's also really useful to guide you into continuing to make good choices once you are at target. pp I found ok for a bit but it really isn't sustainable long term.

Galmptongirl · 30/12/2014 17:44

Anybody thinking of starting in the new year? I have had success in the past using points and pp but don't think I have got the time to go to a meeting. Has anybody tried the at home version and succeeded ?? I did return briefly earlier this year to do the simple start but had such dreadful stomach aches that gave up! Have got lots of the old recipe books so could probably do it myself but just need the motivation!

I started on Boxing Day using the online WW as my weight was creeping up between 13st 5lb and 13st 7lb. I weighed myself today and I'm 12st 13lb. Probably all fluid but least it's coming offSmile

I like the PP because I have a bit of a sweet tooth and like not being restricted about what I can eat, I'm finding it quite easy so far!

NoLongerJustAShopGirl · 10/01/2015 09:01

I started on Wednesday and have decided to count the points to start with, with a view to moving to filling and healthy once I get used to "normal" portion sizes and the sorts of foods I should be eating more of.

I am also finding it easy and am not hungry - if on the points, you know exactly how much you can and can't eat - and can have a bowl of 0 point stuff on the side... grapes, satsumas etc..

I am pointing up my meals for the day in the morning - and then deciding how many points I will use on snacking - today, because of a soup and bread lunch(only points are for the bread) , I can have a wagon wheel and a pack of snack a jacks (which I have put out on the side in the kitchen with a bowl of grapes/apple/satsuma) to give me easy choices - which I may or may not eat - without going rooting in the cupboard

  • and I will be walking the dog twice since DH is away - giving me activity points which I won't use.

Keep at it. Just go for pointing the food instead.

As others have said use herbs and spices.

I do a chicken and vegetable bake where I use balsamic vinegar and fresh basil to give it taste.

This month's magazine has some good recipes in it
