I love whole wheat pasta with red onion, bacon medallions, tinned cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli. It's my staple 'lazy and in a hurry' dinner!

spottymoo · 05/05/2014 14:31

Turkey burgers sound good as does the Cajun chicken great for the BBQ season.
I've never tried whole meal pasta it's on the list to buy this weekGrin
I've just made a raspberry and apple flapjack that free to eat and it's not bad tasting at all.

400g porridge oats
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons of sweetener
180ml skimmed milk
100g apple sauce
1/2 punnet of raspberry or blueberries
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preheat over to 200c/400f/gas6
Combined wet ingredients with dry
Pour into a baking tray and bake for 35-45 mins ( I found 25 was perfect first lot was crunchy on 35mins)
Cut and leave to cool.

I used raspberries as don't like blueberries but it give you scope to try different things in them.

Spottymoo - how many portions do you get from your flapjack receipe? Going to make tommorow (can't wait!) but thinking if it makes a few portions I might halve everything to make less. I am such a pig at times and in danger of eating the lot!!!! Thank you Smile

tobysmum77 · 12/05/2014 22:06

I had amazing Indian casserole for dinner tonight, adapted from the madha jaffrey pork chops and chickpea recipe. (I used lean pork medallions and slow cooked without oil). Really yummy and really filling, I didnt even finish it.

Veggie omelette
Homemade soup as a starter

Tulipsinmyvase · 30/08/2015 07:32

For breakfast i am loving oats
Mix oats with natural yoghurt, layer in a glass with fruit, I tend to use raspberries, blueberries. I don't bother with sweetener but you can add if you like. Leave in the fridge overnight. It tastes great in the morning Wink I serve with a coffee, keeps me going till lunch
