Simple start thread, anyone?

I'm back on the WW bandwagon. Simple start version this time. We've been eating this for two days and I'm really loving it, so is DH and 3yo DD. Just some lean protein, vegetables and brown starch and lots of fruit, veg and skimmed milk tea in between. Breakfast may be my downfall, we shall see.

Anyone got fabulous recipes and support to share?

What's the main meal?

Lamb shank with celeriac mash and gravy. How do I resist having a pudding?
I am hoping to restart swimming next week one morning before work.
With the simple starters plan how many treats is it a day?

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/01/2014 16:20

I think it's two treats a day, but I'm doing the Canadian version which is 7 points of treats a day.

Lamb, gravy and celeriac is about the most delicious thing I can think of.

MrsTP- I think the uk one will be like that next week. I think they've done it quite strict for week more for all the folk making New Years resolutions and wanting to see quick results. Hidden at the back of the SS booklet it mentions being able to use 49 points. I suspect that next week we will be told more about this.

RisingSunshine here is the shopping list www.weightwatchers.co.uk/images/2057/dynamic/GCMSImages/WW7259_32957_Shopping_List_34358.pdf

  • essentially you get to eat all this and the extra treats at the side.

I have my first weigh-in tonight so I'm a bit nervous!

Getting a good night's sleep also helps, as you won't need the sugar to wake you up the following day, or maybe cafeine in the chocolate bars, whatever it is.

Sainsbury's do a hot Chicken or Vegetable Jaz thingy curry with rice for about £3 in a tupperware box, it's only 10g of sugar, still a lot but not bad for a meal really, as I say on another thread, a thin 25p Dairy Milk bar has 10g all on its own.

I rejoined today but started the day with two crumpets. Absolutely starving by 10 o'clock!! Is it because I'm thinking about food I wonder??

I've made some nice quorn mince ready for later and have a jacket spud cooking for lunch. Smile

I've lost every week for three weeks on this. I'm staying on this rather than going back to the PP. I cheated on the weekend and ate a bunch of white carbs. I felt horrible afterwards. Is it possible that this is what healthy people eat!!? Anyway, supposedly you can eat only power foods plus 49 extra PPs a week and it should work long-term.
