Can it be done? Or as I fear, have I left it too late?

In 9 weeks time I am going on holiday to South of France with family.

I am a lardy lump at 5 foot 8 and weighing 12 stone 9 lbs. I know where I am going wrong... I eat too much crap- simple!

How do I stop doing it when I feel hungry and think about food all the time?

I am completely food obsessed and it needs to stop quick. I can not carry on squeezing myself into clothes and feeling unfit and uncomfortable.

Help!!!! I really want to do this in the long term aswell, not just crash diet for 9 weeks.

I really want to be healthy so I can keep up with my 2 yr old. I feel so sluggish and lazy and I want to do this for him aswell as me.

Alizonne is a mixture of diet and therapies.

The therapies are: a deep tissue type massage which tightens your skin (if you loose a lot of weight quickly you can end up with very loose skin.) and an ultrasound - which I think is aimed at making it easier for your body to empty the fat cells (especially if they have calcified) - never really believed this one, but I always loose more weight in the two or three days after a treatment so there must be some benefit in it.

The diet itself is made up of eating five times a day, 2 snacks and 3 meals. All are sachet based initially (that you make up into omelettes, cheese, soups, drinks etc) and you have these with salad or practically unlimited vegetables. You also get additional vitamins etc to take as well.

You are monitored by a doctor and have blood tests monthly to make sure your body is coping with the diet and they can adjust the supplements accordingly.

As you go through the diet you start to drop the sachets and start re-introducing real food - intially chicken or fish, then carbohyrates - e.g. weetabix or porridge and then dairy such as yoghurts. It is useful in learning how much a portion of protein should be!

You do loose a lot of weight quickly but safely. Loosing the weight so quickly really helps with the motivation. I would have been on other diets for about two years and I know I didn't have enough discipline for that - but six months was really no hassle and I have kept it off which is more than I have ever done with other diets.

They also check your individual metabollic rate before and after so that they can tell you exactly how many calories you can eat if you want to maintain your weight. This was particularly useful for me as my metabollic rate was quite low and some diets actually cause me to put weight on.

Thanks for that smileymylee very kind of you to explain it to me.

It sounds very very good, especially as the food is in sachets so you don't have to worry about ingredients and portion sizes.

It sounds very expensive though!!!

Really interested and I am pleased it has worked for you.

I am going to do more research but thank you for explaining it to me.

Have been eating healthily this past few days, haven't bothered to get weighed as I know I will get depressed if I haven't lost anything. Will just keep going and maybe weigh myself at the weekend.
