Does any one have any suggestions, I get so depressed about it.

I feel I have a gap inbetween my belly button, and Im so fed up of being asked when my baby is due!

When in fact she is 20 weeks old.

Any help and advice.

Don't blame you for being fed up with that.

Not sure what you mean about the 'gap' inbetween your belly button, I would ask your GP. Does it feel as if the muscles are separated?

I know exactly how you feel. My DS is 3 months old and wwhilst i have lost some weight i am still a way off what i used to be and my tummy still looks like a collapsed balloon . I am trying pilates at the moment as the theory behind the exercises is to concentrate on the core (tummy). I bought a beginners book with a DVD attached that has 4 15 minute sets of exercises so i just try and do as much as i can with whatver time i have depending on how long DS's naps are in the day. I can feel them doing good and the exercises are actually quite relaxing.

Have you tried Spanx or cheaper alternatives? These are great for wearing under clothes to suck tummy in although the good ones are expensive.

Good luck!!

It feels like the muscles are totally gone, maybe the GP is a good option, thanks.

As for eating, after spending 5 months being sick, and not being able to hold food down (apart from crackers) I havent been eating like I should .

But I am very proud to say I am still breastfeeding back at work, and expressing, so food isnt the issue.

I have been doing 100 sit ups a day!

Hi, I would concentrate on trying to lose weight and do some exercise. The sit-ups won't get rid of the mummy tummy plus better to do a range of abdominal exercises rather than just sit-ups. Combine some aerobic exercise (running, spinning, aerobics, brisk walking) with toning or weight lifting and keep an eye on your calorie/fat intake (bearing in mind you still need extra cals for BF)and hopefully that will help. I still have my mummy tummy despite losing 2 stone and have another to go but it has got smaller and there is a six pack peeking out from above it. Best of luck.

I think I got this from here anyway but may be worth a look for you. If you think you have a separation stop doing sit-ups as they will make it worse and go see gp for advice on what to do.
