I did WW by going to classes a few years ago.

I recently looked at the WW online for my mum as she was interested - I would say that if you're not used to the diet and how it works it would be rather complicated to do online with no previous experience.

i've just restarted ww and lost 5lbs in the first week

i am just using books/lists etc that I had left over from doing ww a couple of years ago. If you go on ebay people sell off their unwated starter books - then you can join the online forum for free. I've looked at online ww before and it seems very expensive, but poss the online tracker and recipe builder make it worth it.

The way I am doing ww this time is that I am meal planning for an entire week in advance with 1 day "off" each week, where I will have healthy breakfast/lunch but maybe a meal out or takeaway in evening.

good luck! It really works!

Done WW online on and off since having my first child. Suits me down to the ground. I'm just nearing my target weight after losing almost a stone.

And it's very easy to do - it's easy to look up points values and you can calculate them for foods that aren't listed. The daily diary is easy to use, too and using that calculates the points for you. It takes a lot of the guesswork out. I made a sandwich for lunch today and just put my plate on the scales and weighed everything (bread, light mayo, chicken) as I piled it on. I didn't need to bother weighing all the salad I had on my plate, as that's zero points.

And yes, the recipe builder is useful, as it makes it easy for me to store the points values of dishes I regularly make for the whole family. You can also permanently store values for foods they don't have on their database. For example we like to have an M&S chinese at the weekend, but WW don't carry the points values for those. It's easy enough to sit down with the packets and plug the values in for yourself and store them in your favourites.

I'm in my first week of doing it and have ALOT to lose! This thread may also help: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/948750-Anyone-else-doing-Weight-Watch ers?pg=4

But if you're up for it, happy to track progress (or lack of ) here with you.
