Do these abs belts work at getting rid of jelly belly? I fancy getting one - can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost the earth. (Slendertone is expensive)

I keep looking at these too. 2 children have not been kind to my waistline

I have a friend who swears by the Slendertone one but she used it in her early 20's - those wonderful years when just deciding to lose weight seemed to make it fall off - and I'm not sure how well it would work a decade later.

Got 10 weeks till holiday though so I'm willing to try anything!!

Have either of you decided to get one and, if so, which one did you decide on?

There'a a Slendertone Active one out for £35 in Tesco at the moment. It also does your heart rate. I have to say that I rate Slendertone. I do proper exercise too, but - although it does not shift fat - Slendertone does make a difference to your waist and abs once you have had kids. I bought this one as I lost my waist and I have suddenly found it again

I watched a programme last year and they tested these so called excercise belts and they do nothing its all a con. Another complete waste of money. There are no alteratives just excercise and diet.

I had the old slendertome with the pads and it really worked in combination with exercise. Do it!

No really!

I agree with Cornsilk. I do pilates, but the belt helps too.

The best thing for me is a workout called Gravity which our local leisure centre offers - it is tough, but my goodness it stretches you out and makes you say a big hello to stomach muscles you had never met before. It has lots of pulleys and you do it on a slidey board, so I think that it is based on true pilates.
