Do you mean you can't afford to join?
There are recipe books on Amazon - I bought two last September and DH has lost 11/2 st and I've lost about 10lb (but I'm not really dedicated).
I sometimes just google 'low fat recipes' and see what comes up - much cheaper.
And I think, when we first started, SW had a free download of a week's menus, so we did that.

Yes it does seem expensive to join and plus i doubt I would be able to attend the classes due to childcare. So i just want a few recipe's to help me through i only really want to lose a stone maybe a stone and a half.So hoping a few healthy meals and excercise will do the trick. Just need to understand the green and red days and maybe do a meal plan startting for this week. Thankyou ladies for you help

I was referred to SW by my GP (was just tipping the scales at morbidly obese when referred- 17 stone and 5ft 2 inches after having my little boy). I got 12 weeks free. It is coming to an end next week when I will need to start paying if I want to continue but due to cost restrictions, I may not be able to go. They are very friendly and I take my baby to meetings. It's definitely worth asking your GP about the referral scheme if you are overweight. I have lost about one and a half stone so far and will continue with the plan afterwards now I know what to do. My GP also arranged cheap gym membership for me so do ask! I also recommend the 30 Day Shred and loads of Davina!

If you go to the website, there's a link to download a week's Extra Easy menus for free.

They have one that's so delicious I've even served it when family come over. (Well, it's delicious if you like spinach and chilli. If you don't you can turn it into a very low fat but very creamy carbonara.)

Spaghetti

i tub quark

2 eggs
2 oz parmesan or grana padano cheese
1-2 dried chillies
2 garlic cloves
10ml (2 teaspoons) olive oil
I bag fresh washed spinach
pinch dried oregano
nutmeg

Optional: trimmed back bacon chopped into small pieces.

beat the quark and eggs together until they form a sauce. Finely grate the cheese into it. Add a small grating of nutmeg and some black pepper.

Boil the spaghetti - don't over cook it as it goes back in the pan.
Fry the garlic in the oil, add the chilli, then the spinach, stirring until it's wilted. If you are adding bacon add this before the spinach.

When pasta is boiled, drain, pour in the egg mix and stir on a very low heat for two minutes. Add the spinach and chilli garlic and stir.

The quark makes a brilliant creamy sauce - you can make a carbonara with it too - just leave out the spinach, add sliced button mushrooms and more bacon - fat trimmed off.

The recipe is free on green with the oil and cheese as healthy extras.
