Has anyone stuck with the Harcombe diet and lost all the weight they wanted to lose, and kept it off?

I tried it early this year and I have never felt so ill on a diet. I followed it to the letter for 6 weeks(lost 12 pounds ) then rebounded more spectacularly than on any other diet in my life.(regained it all in 3 weeks and some more for good measure)

I have noticed some threads on it here but does anyone actually stick with it long enough to lose all their excess weight?

Check out theharcombedietclub - there are loads of success stories in there. Nature's food can't make humans feel ill - people feel ill on this in the early stages because they are getting withdrawal symptoms from coming off sugar, sweeteners, processed foods and some pretty horrific everyday ingredients. If you then go back to eating processed food - you will feel bad again and regain the weight! You can have crisps, ice cream, chocolate etc but it's all about the tricks for doing this and the choices are always for the least processed food.
Hope this helps!

Thanks very much I will check that out.

In my case I have never eaten much processed foods so it was not that I was giving up a lot of things.

i did find it incredibly restrictive - the eating of certain foods at certain times

Ive lost 17lb with the harcombe diet and Ive stayed the same for the last few weeks, due to falling off the wagon with a few things here and there (mainly to do with a lot of drunken nights out!), but Ive always gone back to that way of eating, and generally stay around the 9st 4lb mark. Id like to get down to 8st 10lb so not at my target, but am not in any rush to get there. Ive not found the diet difficult, but sometimes I get myself in a rut, cooking the same old things and not experimenting and cooking new things, so can get bored. But I think thats more to do with me, than the actual diet.

Mary - what do you mean by eating things at certain times? do you mean, eating something at 3pm, say an apple (carb), when you have to eat a fat meal 3hours later? I usually get around this by having 2 fat meals, so I sometimes snack on cheese or have a cafe latte which tidies me over . Do check out the harcombeclub, as theres loads of useful info on there, with lots of more experienced people than me on there, and you will probably find others have advised on certain issues people have already. Best of luck.

thanks mrswill. Good to hear of others' successes.
Yes I did mean that whole thing of separating carb and fat meals by a few hours.
