I need to lost 1.5 stone and am not doing it by my prefered option of eating healtily - would appear I am just maintaining so need more of a structure, hence looking for a plan.

SW was mentioned to be by a friend but before I fork out to join just want to undersdtand what it is based on - years ago I remember working with a woman who seemed to mainline mueller lite yoghrts and tins of sloppy as they were "free" - could not bare either so not sure this is plan for me if it is based around this processed food - can any one let me know what the basic principles are so I can see if it would suit me - and if it worked for them!

Thanks

Slimming world is not based round processed food. There are three plans, extra easy, red and green. The classes are now promoting extra easy, as its well, easy to follow and fit it with normal life.

You can eat as much fruit, veg, pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, fish, beans as you like.
You should however have at least 1/3 of your plate as veg and only eat until you are full.

You have an allowance for a little milk or cheese and an allowance for a little bread/cereal.

You also have syns which you can use on anything, sweets choc, alcohol, sauces, oils etc. You get 10 syns a day and 1 syn is about 20 calories.

Muller lite yoghurts and other 0.1% yoghurts are 'free' so many people have them as snacks. There is very few processed foods you can have now so I do most of my cooking from scratch.
