I'm now down to 9st7lb through walking, breastfeeding and 'trying' to eat more sensibly! I would like to lose another stone (ideally), but more importantly really want to tone my tummy up. After 2 pregnancies close together it's very wobbly and fat

So what's the best exercise you've done to tone your tummy? What really works? Motivation needed!! Oh and planning to begin running in 2weeks, going to follow the bupa beginners guide.

just bumping for you cos I don't know, shed all my baby weight within a year but still go wobbly tum and my bum vanished think it must have moved to my tum.

Going to try cycling as when i did this pre-baby I had firmer body tone.

you could try sit ups and sit ups taking elbow to opposite knee that trims the obliques

good luck with the running - get the best bra you can!

Pilates is the best thing ever for core muscle tone, It tones up all the layers of muscle in the whole abdominal area. Also encourages better posture (I definitely found after bfing and pushing a pram that I'd become a bit round-shouldered). It makes you more conscious of how you are carrying yourself which will make your core muscles work harder and tone you up better even when you're just going about your daily life. It takes a while but definitely worth it (good dvd choices on Amazon, but best to do a few classes first to get the hang of it).

messymissy - I know what you mean. It's not the weight with me, either, just the saggy belly. (Oh, and no boobs or bum either . I used to have a lovely bum - sigh.)

I have the same problem. I was considering skipping for the cardio-vascular exercise and as it's cheap. And maybe something like Pilates when the layers of fat have reduced. I am yet to start though...

Hear hear to disappearance of bust and bum, replaced by something very wobbly which starts just pn the lower ribs!! Why does that happen!! My only saving grace is that my legs are slimmer as I no longer do anywhere near as much exercise - not the same as a flat tum though

Thanks for the replys will definately try the oblique sit-ups...and will find a pilates class! My boobs are slowly disappearing now my DS2 isn't feeding as much ...very worried about my bum now, nature really is cruel to us hey!
