I'm on a thread at the moment but we are all trying to loose it , I want to talk to someone that had done it!

I'm finding it very hard, I only started yesterday but for a long time I have eaten too much, too often and I'm struggling to keep out off the kitchen.

I'm doing weight watchers and habve so far managed to just eat good stuff, no biccies or anything naughty because I know if i let myself have 1 i will not stop so they are banned completely.

I know the whole point is to eat 'filling healthy foods' but i think i over ate so much in the past that I need to get used to eating little and often rather than big and often,

I would say I am reducing my porions by about 2/3s

Please tell me it gets easier and your body and mind adjusts to the changes and soon I wont feel as hungry or unfullfilled as I am now.

I genuinly did 'pig out' on a adaily basis, thats why I got so big so fast and I know that has to stop, I will not go back to how I was but I'm just finding it hard.

Thanks

I started my diet in the middle of October and have lost 2 pounds short of 3 stone, taking me from 14 stone to 11, and a size 18 to a size 12.
I did it on a low carb plan, and I did it because I finally got the resolve to do something about the weight that had been hanging around since I had ds, who was 16 months old when I started.
I have to say, the first 3 days were hardest for me. After that, I thought, well I have done the hardest bit, I don't want to give up now only to start over again. I can see how easy it is to fail in the first few days though, it would be very easy to just say sod it and have another biscuit
I chose low carb becasue it has worked for me before, and I am (or rather, was) a serial snacker and i knew that anything that allowed treats would not work for me. Low carb is very easy to do, and I eat so well on it that I never go hungry and find it very easy now to stick to 3 meals a day and very rarely snack. There's no points or anything complicated.
Another thing is exersise, which I couldn't do before September as dd started school then. Now it is just me and ds in the daytime I do a good 2 or 3 hours walk every day, stopped gettign the bus and just walk around with him in a 3 wheeler. I can't stand exercise DVDs and live in a flat with people below me so it wouldn't make me popular
You've done well to make the decision to lose weight. That's an achievement in itself.
Another important thing is to believe that you can do it. I had a dress I wanted to fit in by christmas, and I decided that it was an achieable goal even though when I started the diet I could barely squeeze into it. That same dress is now loose
