any tips/advice for reducing sugar and refined carb intake?

am adding more and more sugar to my tea and craving sweet , stodgy stuff

is chromium a worthwhile supplement to take?

Fructose is just a different type of sugar (not a sweetener) - I've seen it in Waitrose and health shops. It is startlingly sweeter so you can use less.

Could you try different leaf teas (not fruit/herb , bleudgh) - darjeeling, lady gray, lapsang etc (whatever you donlt normally have). They taste so different from 'normal' tea.

Atkins (even the 'hardcore' first stage) actually demands you eat a LOT of veg (no fruit to start with), but I'm not trying to convert you I swear! But it was the only way I was able to jolt myself out of my carb stupor and realise that, however I cut it, a pastry could never be an acceptable breakfast! And a sandwich at lunch left me feeling shitty by teatime!
