Yes hang on
I'll get the book out
I am interested too

missmama · 30/03/2009 14:08

An extra 10 points
But dont forget to factor in your age and weight.
Dont start before 6 weeks either! Just for your sanity.

Because of my weight and age I can have 38 points a day [gobsmacked]

thank you, Missmama

I was on 30 points when excl bf. Usually 22.

mrsDA · 31/03/2009 21:07

i think its 10 extra points. used to do ww ages ago. is it still 20 points for 11 stone?

dinny · 01/04/2009 11:00

God, tried a day doing ww yesterday and was 10 points short, hard to eat that amount (mine is 33!)

11 stone would be 11 points, then the rest depends on your height etc, I think

I was thinking I was doing really well, back to the gym and back on WW after 6 weeks, bags of energy and all 'Mother Superior'. It all went tits up when the HV told me LO was 'failing to thrive', but that wasn't only due to WW, just trying too hard. I wanted to use WW to keep a check on my appetite, but it didn't really help bf. GP told me to pack it in and eat cream cakes. Which I duly did.

That ferocious bf appetite is there for a reason, don't deprive yourself, but don't turn to cake as a quick energy fix either.

dinny · 03/04/2009 11:22

sorry to hear that - was she not gaining much at all?

not gaining according to the charts, but not actually losing either.

Given she was 2 weeks late and up on the 99th centile at birth might have had an impact

But when the GP tells you to go and eat cake, what are you meant to do?!

suwoo · 03/04/2009 18:07

Yes it is 10 extra points for exclusively breastfeeding.

MrsDA, other lifestyle factors are taken into account now when calculating points...your age, your height and your activity level. So you may not be on 20 points anymore.

Dinny- 33 is a lot of points, so don't worry too much if you are eating less than that as long as you are comfortably full and you are using your points up on healthy filling foods not processed shite.
