I joined Slimming World after gaining whilst pregnant and lost 2st 4.5lbs from the end of october to the beginning of march.

You don't need to portion control

You can fill your plate with satisfying foods

You can have treats everyday

Some weeks I lost 4lbs, others at least 2lbs and I'm not even that big. I was a size 16 when I started and now Im a size 10.

These are the foods you can eat unlimited quantities of:

Potatoes, pasta, rice, chicken, turkey, beef, bacon, lamb, any fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables and lentils

and these are the foods that you have to measure:

milk, bread, cheese and cereals

all other foods have a 'syn' value- you can have up to 15 Syns every day.

Speak to your GP - you could have an underactive thyroid if your baby is only 9 months - loads of people get underactive thyroid during pregnancy & post natally, and it sorts itself out eventually. A blood test is all that is needed.

I found Gillian McKeith - 'You are what you eat' really effective - huge amounts of weight loss really quickly, however I found the regime too extreme to keep up long term - (some of her recipes were pretty grim tbh). 4 months should be fine though.

Oh and i forgot to mention Jason Vale -The Juice Diet. I did it last year and its bloody brilliant for quick weight loss.

7lbs in 7 days and it works!

Lighter Life.
That's all I'm saying.
I lost 3.5 stone in under 4 months. I have 2 kids and am v. lazy re: excersise.
Another similar alternative I believe is called W8 - works in the same way.
Can't recommend Lighterlife highly enough. Buy the magazine (BordersBooks have it I think) and maybe you'll be inspired.
It isn't cheap but if you stick to it it bloody well works!
Best of luck. x

I'll be honest with you MUmof baby- although healthy your diet sounds really boring.

A really boring diet is a real threat to weight loss.

You need to include treats and nice food to keep you interested and boost your weight loss.

You sound as though you need support so why don't you join a slimming class where you'll be supported, inspired and you can swap recipe ideas.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- Sliming World is great, easy to stick to and it works.
