Special K Challenge

Am just about to embark on the Special K 2 week challenge diet. Apparently I'm going to lose a dress size - hurrah! dd is now 6 months and I still can't seem to shift this extra weight. All my clothes are so tight but I'm buggered if I'm going to buy anything in that size! Anyone else been on this diet?

Why spend a fortune on over processed crap when all you need to do is eat less?

It's true.
Buy a sack of oats and make porridge instead.Much better for you than dried white rice.
Spend the money saved on something nice.

I don't get this myth that you have to buy special stuff to lose weight. Should be about buying and spending less.

Well, I really like eating over processed crap and I've chosen a prescriptive diet because just "eating less" doesn't seem to be working..........duh!

Oh well, more fool you.
Fill Kellogg's coffers.....duh!

Oh I love special K.
Have it for breakfast every morning although sometimes without much fruit as DS2 picks it all out to have with his!

I love it too, looking forward to trying the new Yoghurty and Honey and Oats varieties. Yum Yum! Will also get some Special K bliss bars. Good old Kellogg's!!

I love the taste of Special K and have no problem with anybody eating it, but have never understood the 'diet' aspect of it.

As far as I can work out, you're supposed to eat quite a small portion of it, and that's what makes it 'low calorie'?

Weetabix or bran flake type cereals would be better for dieting as they contains fibre too.

MorrisZapp · 23/02/2009 16:25

they contain. Duh!

CDMforever · 23/02/2009 16:45

Not sure either why it is good for dieting other than it contains little sugar. I don't care what it contains as long as I lose this last bloody stone!
