Fuming today.

Bought a pair of weightwatchers scales today. I am 5 pounds, yes 5 pounds heavier on them than on my trusty manual scales. Can there possibly such a descrepancy between two sets of scales? I know it is silly but I have been working so hard since Christmas at losing weight and now find that I am actually 5 pounds heavier than I though. Fuming.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me when I bought a set of digital scales. It's really frustrating isn't it? My old manual ones weigh me in around half a stone lighter than my new ones. My digital ones are much more accurate though and tell me how much I've lost to the nearest ounce, my body fat and BMI.

You know you've lost weight. Ok, so you are 5 pounds heavier than you thought, but it doesn't alter how many pounds you have lost so far.

Good luck with the weight loss!

Scales vary so much, also depending on what type of floor they're on.

Sometimes (and I speak as one who DOESN'T practice what she preaches) it's better not to weigh, but judge by how clothes fit/look.

Or use a tape measure.
