If I carefully plan my day I can easily be eating from dawn til dusk and still have points left over - trouble is I'm useless at planning so end up running out of point by about 11.30 in the morning!!

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 22:38

Planning is obviously the answer but i really dont have time to even think about it at the moment! It's all i can do to make my sarnies for work the night before!

cheekysealion · 12/09/2008 14:11

hi alll

I am still thankfully on th straight and narrow

didnt have breakfast as had to rush out
just had tuna salad for lunch which was scrummy... - 4 points....

I really fancy a bag of crisps but i know if i have one bag i will want another so it is best for me not to have any...

good news is i weigh 15 .7 today so i am down 5lb which is fab...

I am going out for tea so must be sensible there

Carnival · 12/09/2008 14:23

Can I join?

I've been going to the sports centre 4+ nights per week (doing body pump, step, combat and thighs, bums and tums) for almost 8 months and have lost approx 3 lbs (I still have at least 2 stones to go) and I need to face the fact that I am clearly eating too much to burn and am always hungry!!

I've thought about weight watchers, but I am totally clueless and don't know anything about it. I previously had a lot of success on the F2 diet, but have put back on about a third of what I lost.

People keep saying I'll get to a point and it will start dropping off me. When? When? I need to take matters in hand

RGPargy · 12/09/2008 14:39

Cheeky - well done for keeping on the straight and narrow. It's bloody hard isn't it! I fancy some chocolate but i know i just cant have any. What makes it worse is that here at work we have a vending machine on each floor in the kitchen so you really have to exercise proper self control!!!

Hi Carnival and welcome! Well done on your exercise regime! Wow, that's commitment! Please dont forget that muscle weighs heavier than fat so you probably have gained muscle tone. You might think you haven't lost weight but your body might have changed shape and toned up instead!

Why dont you check out weightwatchers.co.uk and read up about how both plans work. That way you'll know whether or not you think WW is for you. Better still, find out when/where your nearest meeting is and go along. You might not have to join there and then if you tell them that you'd like them to explain the concept of it to you first before you join up.

It's basically a points system, where everything has a points value. You are allowed, for example, 20 points a day so you just look up how many points the food is that you're eating and make sure you stick within your daily limit. Simple really! They do have another plan called the Core plan, which i am having a go at next week, which is basically where you go back to basic food groups and have 21 points for the week for "treats" etc. Deffo go along or read up online tho!

I love it and love the online points tracker!

Well been good so far today.

Walked for 50 minutes to meet DH for lunch, have drunk 1 litre of water and had so far have had 12 points.

Well done on the weight loss cheeky , had a sneaky peek at the scales earlier and so far am the same as last WI so have to be ultra good over the weekend if I want any sort of a loss on Monday

Carnival · 12/09/2008 14:50

Thanks RGP, I will get reading and I'll have a look and see if I can find a local group. I must say my tummy has less wobble to it, I knew I had to start something when I actually heard it make a kind of slappy noise when I was running upstairs

RGPargy · 12/09/2008 15:15

Carnival!!! I know exactly where you're coming from! Hey, at least you CAN run up the stairs!! I can barely manage it!!

cheekysealion · 12/09/2008 15:22

i am with the tummy slapping... i notice it when i have my pj's on as during the day i wear snuggle knickers!!!

we can do this i am feeling really positive about it... even though the weather is so dull... i will not let it make me comfort eat

SmugColditz · 12/09/2008 16:32

Ohhh I went to a friend's for lunch, and she buttered my sandwich, which I rammed in gleefully(delicious)....

I have put a buttered ham sandwich at 5 optimistic points. And a packet of Chewits, at a surprisingly low 2 points. 2 rice cakes, for 1 point. That's it until tea time. This gives me 12 points to play with but I am trying to save them because I hate never being able to be spontanious with my food!

When you lose 2 stone you find it easier to roll over in bed

How are we all doing?

I am having lamb chop, potato wedges, veg and gravy tonight. I had a ham salad sandwich and a 1 point bag of crisps for lunch, I had 1 round of jam on toast for breakfast. I had a banana as a snack.

total points value 14.5

I had a day of non-tracking debauchery yesterday, so I need to be good today and tomorrow. Weigh in Tuesday morning!

Colditz - why the sulk - 4lbs is fab (or have I missed something??)

I lost another 2lbs this week but think some of that was down to stress as the week has been shitty. Now lost 12.5lbs in 7 weeks.

Going to Blackpool for the weekend tomorrow so next week will be the test. In the past I've always fallen off the wagon after around 8 weeks and suspect this weekend could be the catalyst if not careful.

Where's everyone gone??

SmugColditz · 19/09/2008 17:09

God I've eaten 12 points already today I only have 20 a day!
