I’ve been trying to loose weight unsuccessfully for about 3 years now, previous to my last child I could always shift the weight if cracked on, since then I’ve tried time and time again I get so far I loose about a stone and nothing else seems to come off, I have had medical issues in between which really stop things in their tracks but always carry on when I’m out of those phases. I’m currently in a really bad health phase but slowly coming out the other side, I’ve been on high dose meds and they have made me balloon. So my weight once again is back up the scale 🤦‍♀️

as I’ve been trying so hard the past 3 years and it’s consistently been a stone loose and not much else after that I think I’m probably perimenopause and having huge hormone chalked in my body, I personally feel this is not helping my weight loss. I’ve never ever wanted to go down the route of jabs not because I disagree with anyone using them but personally with my medical issues I always thought unless it was necessary I’d never add any ‘extra’ meds into my body and I’d be so worried it’s cause even more issues but at the same time my weight is making my health worse physically and mentally, this voy thing keeps popping up and they make it sound great that it’s personalized to you and works with your body with things like menopause etc. it has got me intrigued. Do they do pills as well as jabs? I know it’ll be super expensive but how much and how long roughly have ppl stayed on it? Has it made you more poorly with side effects? Has it been the best thing you’ve done for your health? Are they hard to stop once you’re done? Is it easy to get out of the payment plans etc has anyone felt addicted to them in anyway?

as you can see I have so many questions and I’d like to ask really people who may have tried it before I ask the actual company.

or if anyone hold the secret to weight loss naturally that will work please tell me! For some reason eating less and moving more doesn’t seem to work for me anymore 😔

Tia

Voy is just one of the suppliers that provide weight loss medication. They all provide the same medication regardless of which one you sign up with. They will offer weekly Mounjaro and Wegovy injections, and now daily Wegovy tablets as well.

Voy, like a few others, run as a subscription where you sign up for some number of months and they charge a cancellation fee if you want to leave before the end of the timeframe. The first month is cheaper because of the new customer discount but subsequent months will be a lot more expensive and you are then tied in. The subscription companies like Voy will justify the cost by offering things like apps and add ons, and claiming they offer a personalised service. But from what I’ve seen none of that is much use and not worth the extra cost.

I’ve been on Mounjaro for over two years now, I had a lot of weight to lose, and I wouldn’t be on it if it made me feel crap or poorly.

Thank you very much for this insight, as you can probably tell I know extremely little about all of these weight loss jabs. I thought I saw they now did pills, I wonder if they are just as effective? The cost is a huge factor not to mention any possible side effects but as I previously said it’s now becoming a possibly option for me to help shift this weight that just won’t budge! So frustrating I don’t want to have to pay loads of money to help shift the fat, I really don’t understand why if I’m moving more and eating less it’d not coming off? 🙈 I mean that’s the basics right? It always worked before 🙈
I’m glad to hear it’s working for you and your feel fine on it. My other concern is I’ve heard when people stop it they pile the eight back on, not sure if this is fact or myth but so much to consider!
you’ve been really helpful thank you 😊

The Wegovy tablets are a little less effective than the Wegovy injections, and both are a bit less effective than the Mounjaro injections. Mounjaro is a fair bit more expensive, and the Wegovy tablets and injections cost about the same.

Eating less and moving more is the basic principal, and weight loss medication helps with the eating less part as well as other effects. It’s always worth checking out what your TDEE calories are, there are lots of online calculators, and then comparing that to your daily calorie intake. To lose noticeable weight you need a consistent 500 calorie daily deficit. That can be hard to achieve, particularly if you are older, female, relatively sedentary.

I get a bit frustrated with the “pile it all back on” comments. That’s true of all diets, and isn’t something that should prevent you from losing the weight in the first place. If you stop taking weight loss medication then the effects stop, and you’re left with trying to maintain your weight loss unsupported. Many people find that hard to do. You can consider things like a gradual reduction in medication over a longer timeframe, or stay on a longer term low dose, for example. If you’ve been overweight or obese for a long time, then it may take a long time to adjust to how to maintain at a lower weight.
