Can anyone recommend a good calorie counting app?

I used to use the one on my Fitbit app, but since the last time I was tracking my calories the apps been updated to Google Health, and I can’t figure out how to log my food accurately on the updated app.

So I’m now looking for a new calorie counting app!

I use Nutracheck and find it very good.

Cronometer, Nutracheck or CarbManager if you're looking to reduce carbs are all pretty easy to use. Nutracheck is the best, IMO, for UK foods. Cronometer and CarbManager and Canadian/American so you'll have to take more time with manually inputting things and building your personal database. However, they are good for knowing your nutrient/mineral levels etc if that is of interest to you.

Nutracheck here too

MyFitnessPal-completely re-educated me on portion control, calories etc and was the main tool which helped me lose a very substantial amount of weight. Very easy to use. Good luck

I use MyNetDiary. I asked ChatGPT to summarise it for me, and then I read that through to check it was factually correct, which it is. Here you go:

"It's one of the most comprehensive yet easy-to-use nutrition and health tracking apps available. It makes it simple to log meals, monitor calories, protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals, track exercise, weight and water intake, and set personalised health goals. The app has a large food database with barcode scanning, and you can import recipes easily from other websites. The app provides clear nutritional insights, and generates helpful reports that make it easier to spot patterns and improve eating habits over time. Whether you want to lose weight, manage a medical condition, or simply maintain a healthier lifestyle, the app offers an intuitive, well-organised way to keep everything in one place without feeling overwhelming."

I would add that I subscribe to the Premium version to access all their lovely recipes and meal plans and to get a more comprehensive view of my nutritional and health data. I've used the app for years. Highly recommend!

MyFitnessPal. Been using it for well over a decade and would not go a day without it.

I love Team RH but he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea

I use Nutracheck. It's really accurate. You can get a 30 day free trial with my link (I get entered into a prize draw for full disclosure). I did use My Fitness Pal but I found numbers often wildly inaccurate. I also found that paying for a membership helps me stay accountable.

Hey, here's 30-days free membership with Nutracheck!
