Recommendations to help prevent more saggy skin while losing weight?

Hello,
Has anyone got any recommendations on how to help prevent saggy skin while losing weight? Things you have used or done that has helped?

I’m roughly a size 16/18 and after having 2 children my tummy is quite saggy already. I’m embarrassed to say I really really dislike it and quite self-conscious about it already. I worry that losing weight will just make it worse.

I’ve upped my water and I’m hoping to lose weight slowly. I know there’s not going to be a magic solution but if you think anything helped at all I would love to hear it!

Thanks in advance! X

I lost weight twice after my second pregnancy and the first time I had an awful mummy fold. The second time I religiously moistiored the area and pinched it - really lifting little bits up and dropping them, and I brushed - and I had no fold! Maybe that helps you too?

Thank you for replying! What did you moisturise with? Just anything or did the cream contain anything special? Do you mean pinching to create like bruising to the area?

It’s a combination of genetics, age and any pre-existing skin damage like sun damage. There’s really not much you can do about it if you are prone to it. Time will help, it takes a long time for skin to renew itself, so it should get better over time.

I have seen theories that fasting can help with losing weight without loose skin. I’m not sure if it’s true but lost about 30lbs without loose skin - but still quite high weight so maybe not relevant.

i think the factors @SilenceInside mentioned are probably the most likely influence. Working out while you lose weight might help keep things firm. I remember looking terrible at one point when I lost quite a bit of weight before but I actually looked better once I lost a bit more weirdly.
