Easter is hard!

Anyone else finding the Easter weekend difficult? So many nice things to eat, family meals etc?

I usually love Easter! I decided 7 weeks ago whilst I was injured to start losing weight because it was piling on due to my injury. I was the heaviest I've ever been.
I was about to start Mounjaro, its even in my fridge when I decided to try going alone first. So far I have lost 17lb, I'm gaining confidence back and becoming more happy with my weight, I never started the Mounjaro. I'd like to lose another 12lb before the summer.

This is the first weekend where I have very nearly crumbled!

Enjoy a little taste of everything, just don’t overdo it, move snack bits away from you so they are not right at hand for mindless eating. Pile plate up with your protein and veg at dinner. Small dessert.

It’s only a day or two and then you can get back to normal routine, don’t overthink it.

Well done on losing all that weight.. that’s brilliant progress. Yes Easter is hard as there is so much chocolate about … but sounds like you’ve got this op

There is nothing wrong with overeating on occasional days. Its overall that counts.
Just enjoy your food and get back to normal next day.

I managed to keep it fairly sensible. Had a bit of a naughty dinner yesterday but no chocolate goodies! Straight back to it today and hoping the scales are kind to me this week 😀

There’s nothing naughty about food. Don’t demonise it, it’s just food. Balance is key and as long as things balance over the space of about a week you’ll be grand.

I didn't I have to be honest. I was away for the weekend and ate out three times but one of the things that helped was having lots of food around (where we were staying) which was healthier for me when I wasn't out and about and not a lot of food I would be tempted by. So if I was hungry or just wanted something sweet, I ate a tangerine, not chocolate. We were glamping so I took crisps for my partner but I wasn't tempted to eat them myself. I also made and high protein breakfasts. They kept me fuller. Also the thing is with loads of chocolate that it's quite "waxy" tasting nowadays. I think it's the cocoa butter equivalents they use. It's never as nice as I think it's going to be.

Sunday lunch I ate the meat and vegetables without any roasties (I have never eaten a Sunday lunch out where they've made decent roasties anyway, so I just see them as a waste of time.) I also had a cheeseboard though but just ate the cheese, grapes and the celery. High in fat but also high in protein so I didn't eat much for the rest of the day because it was satiating.

I think if there had been hot cross buns in the hut we were staying in, I'd have struggled to resist but I know that kind of thing is something I could eat and eat even if I wasn't hungry so I just don't buy them. Fortunately neither my son nor partner like raisins so they aren't bothered anyway.

Still lost another lb this week so pretty pleased with how things are going.

By the way, 17lb in 7 weeks is amazing. Well done you.
