Does anyone else really struggle to lose weight because of restricted eating?

There are a lot of foods I just don’t like, is the bottom line. And if I’m honest, most of them are vegetables.

It’s really difficult to think of healthy meals. Although I cook for my family, and these meals are healthy for children I don’t know that they are necessarily good in terms of weight loss and also they tend to be a bit samey.

Is anyone the same? I thought hello fresh was going to be my saviour but I wasn’t impressed tbh.

From what you’ve said it seems you have an aversion to bitter flavours. Not unusual as this is natural when weaning and some people seem to get ‘stuck’ at the transition.

Try to see if you enjoy any of the following which are sweeter vegetables (and can be made sweeter through roasting especially with a little bit of honey or maple syrup - just note that these are still free sugars so be sparing).

Bell pepper
Onions
Beetroot (roasted not pickled)
Sweet potato
Shallots
Parsnip
Red cabbage
Acorn squash
Turnip/swede
Iceberg lettuce

I was listening to this earlier today. It doesn't affect me as I can eat anything. Can you hide the veg? For example cauliflower cheese if you like cheese? Then slowly reduce the amount of cheese until you just have the cauliflower?
