What should I cut out

i seem to have hit a standstill but struggle with all the meal prep. I’ve settled on a breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and the reality seems I need to eat less to lose.

my concern is I don’t want to be hungry as it makes me fail and binge crap.

what is an easy tweak that keeps protein fibre and nutrients. Should I ditch the fruit?

I’ll upload my breakfast lunch and snacks. Dinner is home cooked and varies, but portion is smaller as I use a small bowl.

Breakfast Egg, tomato, greens with a little lemon, vinegar, EVO dressing.

Snack - 2-3 fruit, 1/2 portion of whey protein with 100ml milk .

lunch homemade bread with seeds, pot of nuts and seeds, fruit.

Dinner - anything but veg and beans whole food focused.

Should I ditch the fruit? It feels counter intuitive, but is that my issue?

I’m very active.

I do have the same frustrations. As I mentioned earlier I'm trying to accept being a size bigger than I was all my life without too much effort, but I'm starting to hate my squishy midriff.

I'm going to have a dexa scan to see my body composition. If I'm gaining muscle not fat I'll feel better about the weight gain.

I'm also a nut eater and have decided to massively cut down to see if it makes a difference. My diet sounds similar to the OP's and I'm now actively trying to add protein but not from nuts! I've never counted calories but always actively avoided UPFs, even before they had the name.

That’s funny about the Dexa scan as I was going to get one too! In the end I bought some Hume scales as I found vouchers online and they were cheaper. I’m not totally convinced as some measurements vary too much but I think over a month they are vaguely accurate.

I’ve started subbing cottage cheese (surprisingly tasty!) for my nut pot, but will reintroduce it every other day when (if) I lose some weight.

I'd reduce the portion of nuts and seeds. Your diet seems lacking in protein too

Nuts are an excellent source of protein!!!

Nuts are an excellent source of protein!!!

They are but they are also calorie dense which is the why a small portion is recommended. A chicken breast would be better if wanting to lose weight.

This all looks so healthy and you've a healthy BMI and you're active. This all sounds spot on to me

I think that you are eating too many nuts. They are very calorie dense and high in fat.

Totally understand why you might want to lose more. I am 5.3ft and just under 10 stone, which is the heaviest I have been for a while. I am trying to lose a bit but I think maybe I need to concentrate on toning too. I am struggling to lose anything and I am constantly hungry, so I am concentrating on high protein and high fibre. I think I need to cut out bread completely, I also find I gain if I eat nuts and dried fruit. Peanut butter and apple was my go to snack for a while but it hasn’t helped.

I have been making chia seed pudding for breakfast which keeps me fuller for longer. Lunch is usually soup and a seeded roll. Dinner has been mainly chicken, in a stir fry or wrap and then yoghurt and berries. I am quite active (when it’s not half term) but I don’t seem to lose weight as easy now I am getting closer to 45.
