Really struggling with the last 3-4kg and a huge waist

I have managed to lose weight over the course of the last few years. To get my waist to a reasonable size (size 10) and fit back into my work clothes, I need to get down to 59kg but I am resolutely stuck around 62-63kg. Those last 4 kg make such a huge difference in terms of my clothes size (I am an apple and all my weight is around my middle).

Did anyone else find this last bit difficult? I didn’t find it too hard getting to this point but am finding it v tough doing any more!

I'm 5ft 3 size 10 9st 57kg also apple shaped, it took me 5 months to lose the last stone! High protein lower carbs and plenty of water works everytime for me.

Have you removed UPFs from your diet? When your body doesn’t know what to do with a UPF ingredient, it pops it into a fat cell and stores it in the brown fat you find around your organs, especially your liver. I would cut out UPFs and try intermittent fasting to release some of that brown fat. You need to get yourself into a state of mild ketosis, ie burning your brown fat stores for energy rather than using energy from food. Even just a couple of days a week can help enourmously. Check out Mindy Pelz’s Instagram feed, and if it interests you then her book Fast like a Girl. She has fasting programmes that tie in with your menstrual cycle, and tells you what to do if you’re in menopause. It’s also on Audible.
