Hi all.
First time on here and I could do with your expert help please.

I'm on Mounjaro 2.5mg and have been for 7 weeks. weight loss has been steady at 1-2LB per week. Not experiencing any food noise or side effects so sticking with it at this dose. But, for the last week or so I've lost nothing or gained a 1LB. Any ideas on how I can combat this? I'm eating between 800-100 calories and do exercise every day. Food is fruit, veg etc.
Thanks in advance.

Time. Weight loss isn’t linear and it’s really typical for it to go in fits and starts.

Are you very short and inactive? 800 to 1000 cals is very low. Are you eating protein and healthy fats as well as fruit and veg? Drinking enough water?

I would use a TDEE calculator to determine how many calories you should be eating. It sounds like you might not be eating enough. Otherwise, 1-2 lbs per week is excellent.

I'm 4'11 and get 8k-10k steps each day, mostly before work & at lunch time as my job is very sedentary.

TDEE calculator? I am only 4'11 and exercise before work & walk at lunchtime (weather permitting) as my job is very sedentary.

Eat more protein?

A TDEE calculator is an online tool that works out your Total Daily Energy Expenditure in calories, which is how much you need to eat each day to maintain your weight. To lose at a rate of 1 to 2 pounds a week you should aim to be around 500 calories lower than your TDEE each day. As you are quite short then 800 to 1000 might be a reasonable target, but it's worth calculating it and being aware if you are too far below. Is the walking the only exercise at the moment?

LegoTherapy · 23/09/2025 11:39

Apart from fruit and veg, what are you eating? Tdee is worked out based on height, weight, age, sex and activity level.

I walk at lunchtimes & sometimes an evening. In a morning I do cario or gentle HIIT - both designed for over 50's (I'm 54). Been doing this for about 6 weeks. Not every single day but more often than not. I eat fresh fruit each day. Try to each fair amount of protein too.

What is your current weight? You can then work out your TDEE and see if your calorie totals are ok.

There is currently nothing unexpected or problematic about one week or so where you haven't lost anything. If you carry on in a calorie deficit then eventually, sooner or later, the scales will shift downwards again.
