Apps to help with emotional eating

To cut a long story short I saw something on Facebook about a Duolingo type app to help with emotional eating. Have also heard about Slim POD. I lost 12 pounds doing intermittent fasting last year and thought I’d cracked it. I know what I need to do, basically eat less food, although I sometimes struggle with healthy eating due to mild IBS. Also menopausal, on Tamoxifen with a DS who’s about to go off to uni. I did try the Think yourself Thin app a few years ago with some success. Know how weak I sound, but the idea of no treats makes me feel panicky. Still planning to do IF but without doing dtupid things like eating huge bags of crisps

Love Allen Carrs Easy way to Quit Emotional Eating on Audible. The readers voice isn't too annoying and its easy to follow.

I’ve just bought the kindle version of the book. Didn’t really want to go an Audible subscription. Thanks again for the recommendation

Totally get the fear of no treats... Does it work for you if you chose a small treat each day and eat it at the end of a meal so it doesnt make your blood sugar soar?

My daily treat is now nuts and 90% dark chocolate... it took a while to wean myself onto it but I now genuinely enjoy them and feel they're a treat as I eat them... If I want more treats, I snack on raspberries and strawberries - which are expensive so I try to limit these, but also see it as a good investment in my health. This doesnt work 100pc of the time... if something huge happens emotionally, I fall back into bad habits but doesnt last for long and I then just get back to eating well, feeling a bit annoyed that I've piled the weight back on in a few days.
