Low calorie breakfast ideas

Miamoron · 20/08/2025 10:11

I‘m aiming to lose the last half a stone.

I‘m not a huge fan of breakfast and fast when
I‘m not working. But I really struggle with work if I fast. I only work 2 mornings a week so need something for those days.

At the moment I‘m having one slice of wholemeal toast with low fat Philadelphia and a boiled egg.

I am loathe to waste calories on breakfast. I need something as low calorie as possible, but as fulling as possible.

Any ideas?

I’d just go for full fat Greek yoghurt with berries or you could add oats and soak overnight.
Lots of protein in the yoghurt but not heavy if you struggle with eating breakfast.

I have a banana or a yoghurt or a cereal bar.
It’s enough to tide me over and only up to 100 cal or so.

I have 25g of oats soaked in water overnight with chia seeds and collagen powder. In the morning I add 80g of skyr fat free yogurt and berries. It’s about 270 calories and 30g of protein, but a lot of food and fills me up
until lunchtime

I have chopped grapes and berries with fat free Greek yoghurt and a little bit of honey. If I get hungry mid morning I’ll have an apple or a granola bar (depending on how many calories I need for the rest of the day.

I have porridge made with a few sultanas and milk. I know all the theories about protein filling you up etc, but I've never found anything that does as well as porridge for equal calories.

Similar to the others. I have a chopped up banana and strawberries with full fat Greek yoghurt. Then a tiny bit of granola drizzled on top.

Shakshuka type thing?
Or lentils

I eat lots of different types of things for breakfast, not just 'breakfast' items, you get more variety that way and dont feel so limited.

Soup even, which is nice and light in the mornings.

A banana or a special K cereal bar or similar
