Let's be positive - what are the great things about losing weight

I've been dieting (or healthy eating as I like to call it) for the last month and have lost half a stone so far. I am 11.3 at the moment and want to get to 9.7 hopefully by Christmas. I always find Bank Holidays difficult to keep to eating well as you're out of your routine and seeing other people relaxing in their gardens drinking wine usually does it for me so this Bank Holiday I'm trying to be positive and look at the reasons why it's good to have lost some weight and be losing even more. Here are mine:
Don't feel like a huge whale every time I look in the mirror.
Love being the slimmest woman in the office instead of the fattest
I can fit in my clothes instead of squeezing into them and feeling uncomfortable.
I don't wake up with a hangover/terrible thirst because of eating takeaway loaded with salt.
I feel sexier
I have greater self-esteem

Anyone want to add anymore?

I've lost just over a stone and the best things are

Being able to wear clothes that have been at the back of the wardrobe for a while

The compliments

The excel chart I've made showing all my stats over time

Not having to buy any clothes in 2008, as I've rediscovered old stuff

Liking it when I catch myself in the mirror, instead of cringing

Compliments!

Being able to run around with dd in the soft play, instead of being afraid I'd get stuck in a tunnel or slide

Not snoring like a foghorn any more

Wanting to go swimming with dd, instead of making every excuse under the sun not to because I looked so foul in a cossy

Auditioning for lead roles in my drama group without worrying I won't get it because of my size (now if I fail I know it's cos I'm a godawful actress )

Not having my clothing leave marks on me

Being able to walk into a shop and know I can fit into what I like, rather than looking only at what I 'have' to wear to cover the jellybelly/bingo wings/love handles

Oh, and the improved sex life!

What a fab idea.

I have lost a stone in about 6-7 weeks and still have a good 2 stone to go, but already I love:

People noticing and the compliments

Fitting into the few bits in my wardrobe that arent materntiy wear as I cleared my wardrobe of everything when I decided to lose weight so have about 6 items.

Those are the two biggest pluses for me at the minute but as it comes off sure there will be others... like fitting into a lovely black little number that i have kept for when i am finally at my goal weight / size.

I have lost 1 and a half stones in the last few months - about 3 stones still to go. The things that are keeping me going are.

  • being able to surprise my family in October when there is a big family do.
  • being able to be happy with my body around my two girls and give them a positive body image.
  • finding my jeans are loose and pulling the belt in several notches. I am not sure why but his gives me the greatest pleasure!

I agree with what a lot of people have already said - i do feel sexier and have greater self esteem.

Well worth missing out on chocolate.

It makes running easier.

It makes rockclimbing easier.

And I don't feel too hot all the time.

(I'm down about 15kg on my pre-babies weight.)

I've lost nearly 2 stone in the last 5 months - I've a way to go yet but the best things are:

buying clothes in normal shops - not just 'big lady' shops

people noticing.

Generally feeling more energetic and healthy.

the idea that one day I will weigh less than my husband (you know the type - skinny as a rake and eats all kinds of crap)

Just the relief of finally being open and honest about wanting to do it and finding so much support from family and friends.
