can somebody please tell me more about it, i have about 4-5 stone to loose and lack serious motivation. I am thinking that doing the lighter life programme will give me the motivation that i need.

I have to be careful with diets that count calories and pre pregnancy i suffered with an eating disorder. Ds is 5.5 now so have been better for a while now.

Any info you can give me will be appreciated.

I know this isn't a quick fix, but i think it might inspire me to continue to eat properly and actually eat, am i wrong about this?

How much does it cost?

I think part of the medical forms it states if you have ever had anorexia, bulimia or an eating disorder you can't do the diet. The same applies to the Cambridge diet too. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, you could try contacting them and seeing what they can offer?

It says on thier website that people that have had certain eating disorders wont be able to take part, but they don't state which ones.

You've got nothing to lose by ringing them, and seeing what they say.
Also there's a lighterlife forum on this page"
You could try asking there?
Never used lighterlife, but an expert on the Cambridge diet!

I started a couple of weeks ago, i am also posting on the other thread.
It seems to be quite good so far, although tough at times! All about mind over matter with me, regarding food!
I feel alot better in myself as the foodpacks are nutritionally balanced which is great as my meals before were certainly not!
It is a commitment though and alot of money!
Good luck if you decide to have a go.

when you say alot of money, exactly how much are we talking about?

£67 a week.

personally I would advise against doing it. You will lose weight quickly but it is not the answer, because once you stop eating shakes and soups you go tack to eating real food and it doesn't prepare you for doing that.

Plus if you've had an eating disorder I would imagine the quick weight loss wouldn't be a good idea.

morethanyoubargainfor · 23/05/2008 20:21

OMFG, i don't think i can justify that, my foog bill for two weeks would be less than that!!

I was hoping that loosing the weight reasonably quickly would inspire me to continue doing it after the time, IYKWIM.

My eating disorder is a cconcern though, so thanks alot.

Yes, it is alot of money, i am not sure how long i will be able to afford to do it. I have to say though, my attitude to food is changing, LL has taught me that so far. I am looking at food in a different way, i imagine that when i finish the food packs i will be happy eating a healthy and sensible diet.....thats the plan anyway!
Good luck with what you decide to do mtybf.
