Desperate for advice on getting rid of overhanging apron belly!!

I’m desperate to get rid of my hanging belly fat!! I have tried scouring the internet for ways to get rid of my “apron belly” but I don’t know what really works, when someone is just trying to push a product or where even to start! Any advice(nutrition/things to eat to help reduce belly fat, exercises, workout routines, even websites that you found helpful and honest!!) is greatly appreciated! Let me know what worked for you if you had a similar issue! Thank you!!!

(Also, idk if this matters but I’m 27 and I had a child 6 years ago. I developed my overhanging belly after my pregnancy.)

Unfortunately you can’t spot reduce fat. To lose weight/fat you need to be in a calorie deficit - sounds cliche but eat less move more

strength training will help form muscle

i did this 2 sometimes 3 times a day for 6 months along with sticking to 1200 calories a day. I lost 2 stone and 9 inches around my stomach. I know it seems like a lot of exercise but it’s only 8 minutes long.. I’m also aware the video is older than the dinosaurs but it did work.

As above, you can not spot reduce fat

You can find the correct exercises which will help you build muscle which will hold it better

I look slim and slender - from behind - and am only a size 8 jean and 10/12 tops ( although I do believe that's down to vanity sizing ) but I have a huge belly . Cant lose any more weight as I would be underweight, and too lazy/busy to find time to tone it up - so it stays

Don’t think it’s possible to get rid of mine no matter how thin I get. I’ll be chopping mine off 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like what’s known as ‘toffee belly’ - you’ll need to reduce excess sugary foods in your diet and do some cardio

16/8 diet and regular exercise reduce mine to almost nothing. I had 3 kids close together and put on weight.

Watching as my stomach is my hardest area to lose weight also

As others said, it’s impossible to spot-reduce fat. But it’s definitely possible to have a flat belly after pregnancy.

First of all you need to check for muscle separation, if you still, so many years after pregnancy have diastatis recti, any workout like 8 minute abs will make it worse.
Losing weight and exercising will eventually give you a flat stomach, but it’s going to take time. For me personally a combination of cardio, strength training and stretching/recovery in the form of yoga on alternating days work best. You can, for example, start running or brisk walking longer distances and do pilates.
