A few years ago I did SW which helped lose weight prior to an operation. Biggest mistake I did was to not continue after the operation and have piled on more weight. Now 51 and I want to lose weight have thought about rejoining SW but thinking of trying on my own first. Have decided to have a complete overhaul of food over the summer.

I love salads so will be planning these for my lunches. Only have a small time for lunch as work in a school.

Please hit me with ideas what to include in salads. Thinking fish/eggs/chicken. Really need some inspiration. Thanks in advance

I want to lose weight as well. I am swapping what I would usually have for dinner to lunch time. And what I would usually have for lunch time to dinner. For lunch today I had salmon and broccoli

I love salmon. We eat our main meal in the evening as a family. Hubby doesn’t like fish much unless it’s battered.

You should have your main meals earlier - protein with breakfast and lunch and a light evening meal.

Have only the veg or salad portion of dinner in the evening and bring more substantial/ protein rich leftovers with you for lunch. You could buy a thermos if you don't have access to a microwave.

Aim to have no more than 1200 calories a day and get some moderate exercise in as long as it doesn't leave you starving afterwards. Be really disciplined about your daily intake - focusing on how good you'll feel when the weight shifts can help. You should go to bed feeling mildly hungry.

Reduce sugar and simple carb intake significantly. Drink lots of water (don't forget there are carbs in all other beverages apart from tea and coffee that you make yourself).

Thank you. I do have a thermos type flask my daughter used for school dinners. Will try and work out what’s best to put in it.
