At home weight loss

I have put on some weight, all fat. As in, I'm heavier and less toned than ever so not weight from muscle. This is making me unhappy and obviously as I get older holding lots of fat around your middle isn't great. I'll add that I'm getting to the point of needing to buy a whole new wardrobe and I'm not really happy to do so.

I need to sort this out but the reality is that getting out is hard - I work, have two ND kids and my husband is often away for work.

I can tidy up my diet at home, though I'm pretty good on that aside from salt.

But just changing my eating won't do it so I need to add at-home exercise but I don't know where to start and the Internet has been confusing and overwhelming with all the options.

So my question is whether anyone has found a good at-home programme? I do yoga at home and I'd like to add more toning stuff. I need it to be guided though or I find it easy to lose motivation especially after a long day.

I am not looking to go crazy - I'd like to lose about 2-3kg, feel comfy in size 10 jeans again and maintain it going forward.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks

Weight loss is 80% diet so start there. What’s going out in energy needs to be more than what’s going in.

I’ve noticed that the calories I need to maintain my weight have reduced by about 500 per day now I’m 38 compared to when I was 30.

I don’t know how old you are but if you’re over 35 you should be considering weight training - I’ve done lots of reading on perimenopause and it seems to be a game changer.

its mostly diet that supports weight loss. For at home get some light weights or a kettle bell from Argos and work out to a you tube video three times a week.
come and join the April losers chat, we’re all really supportive and non judgmental there - I’m down 22lb this year and still going with checking on there
