Stay on top of health / weight loss with 2 kids

I put on a lot of weight during my 2 pregnancies. When I got pregnant with my first I was about 54kg (I am 5ft 6). I didn't need to do anything to maintain that. By the time I got pregnancy again 2 years later I was 68kg. Lots of cake and I started drinking tea with milk and sugar which I think just added loads of calories into my diet.
I've slowly dropped weight naturally and am at about 62kg. I still feel a bit uncomfortable in my skin - I just feel heavy and I am holding too much around my waist. I think another 2-3kg would be a good amount to shed to be healthy but also happy.
I've never exercised and am struggling to get a routine in with a job, 2 small kids and general life. I know where my calories come from - it's definitely wine! Now my youngest is almost 4 I've started going out more, catching up with friends etc... so my alcohol consumption is probably 3-4 glasses a week at the moment. It's not something I'm willing to cut (the socialising) but I guess I should think about drinking something else?
I'm off on a big holiday in August and want to feel confident but I could use some tips / accountability to nail this. Time is definitely a big deal - I have to commute to London regularly (2 hours one way) and a 4 and 6 year old just take up time!!
How do you all manage it?

I feel for you - that’s a lot on your plate and when your kids are small it’s full on. Have you tried calorie counting. It’s been a game changer for me. I have 2 kids too - but they are teenagers so it is definitely a lot easier but still very busy. My commute is long too - 1.5 hours to get to work. What I have done is work out my calorie deficit using tdee website which was recommended to me and then tried to stick to this. The beauty of this it lets me choose what I want to eat and drink up to that calorie Number. My Achilles heel is crisps so I still eat them so long as they are accounted for in my calorie number. Since new year I have started for the very first time counting calories and have lost 22lbs. I haven’t found it hard. I also walk 10k steps a day. Walk at lunch time and walk whenever I can. I drink lots of water too. You need your treats, your treats are very important or you’d feel very deprived. Just get them to fit into your calorie deficit. Best of best of luck
