Yesterday I ran5k did a dog walk for one hour roughly and I ate a two egg omelette, a bowl of fat free greek yoghurt with alpen and blueberries and for dinner had a quarter of tandoori chicken plus a couple of spoonfuls of chickpea curry and I have put on 3 lbs overnight!!! Ffs!!!

Why are you weighing yourself every day. Just weigh yourself every couple of weeks if you are trying to lose weight.

This is why I've only been able to loose weight successfully by stopping weighing myself all the time and changing my mindset to eating and exercising well for health. I would be on a high after a good week and weigh in but when I worked hard all week and lost nothing I was fed up and it made me think what's the point. The body fluctuates naturally for many reasons. After what seems like hundreds of failed diets over the years I have ditched the scaled and deciding I want to live well to hopefuly live a lot more years! After a few weeks and your clothes are baggy then you need the size smaller. I find it a much better mindset

Just weigh at the same time every day. I can weigh about 4lbs lighter in the morning compared to the evening. It's just water/food weight etc.

I meant weigh yourself once a week at the same time of day. I go to Slimming World weekly so always weigh at 6.30pm on a particular day of the week. Doesn't matter what time you weigh, as long as it's consistent.

Thank you ! I will move to weekly weighing I think .

Water, bowels, exact time of day, the point of your cycle.

since I am actively working on weight loss I keep a spreadsheet that gives me my average for the last 7 days. That is what I use for my current weight. It saves the panic over natural fluctuations.
