One meal a day

Hi. I started yesterday. Would anyone who is eating this way be up for supporting one another?

I don't have any restrictions, I'm just trying a good amount of protein , healthy fat and carbs in the meal, some veggies.

It's more about reducing sugar spikes through out the day.

I’ve been eating this way for a few months and really like it. I am in my 50s and retired, kids at uni. I am not sure I could have done it with young children and a job. I have a white coffee in the morning and dinner with seconds at 6 pm. I cook from scratch and eat a lot of different veg with a steak, chicken thighs or fish, I also eat a lot of chickpeas and lentils. It really suits me, I don’t feel weak or anything like that. I often cook lunch and breakfast for family and have gotten used to dishing up food but not eating myself. I have lost over 2 stone but also did low carb for a few months to help weight loss.

I'm quite happy with one meal a day; have been for years.

What’s the point in skipping lunch if you’re eating a second dinner

@catphone I do eat a big dinner, I fill my plate and then go for seconds. I think the point is I feel better eating this way, I find it freeing and also satisfying. My body feels more rested with a long break from digesting. My oldest friend is completely different, she likes to have four smaller meals each day or she feels dizzy. It doesn’t suit everyone.

Big (quite late) dinner fan here.
I have a snack around 6pm (few almonds or bites) and eat big dinner 8 or 9 pm (roast and all, bolognese pasta, stew, like propper food).

I sleep like a cow but look like a young mare so it's working.

Have you being doing this for weight loss? How has your progress been?

Not really.
But after pregnancies I started to gain some weight with constant cycle of cooking and feeding. Once I got back to full time work and this schedule I am back to my previous size no effort.
Tbh I have always been slim so my perspective of going from 8-10 to 12-14 is probably different than someone who started overweight for a long period and wants to go down.
You can always try it and see how it works for you. Unlike many other diets this one does not require any special food or cooking.
