Getting the taste back worries

Morning all, I've been big most of my life but over the last few years have slowly done something about it. In total I have now lost 9 st 10 pounds with about another 4 to go, that will give you some idea of just how huge I was.
Over the last 2 months I've really been pushing it and while certainly not been depriving myself I've gotten used to eating a lot less than I usually would.
I am going enjoy next week but am a little concerned I'll get the taste for food back again, I used to binge eat to huge excess. Not looking for advice I suppose just putting my worries out there I think.
Have a great Christmas all

You have done so amazingly well!

I think it’s ok to enjoy yourself for a week but also set yourself limits, it’s ok to eat the chocolate just not the full family bar etc. If binge eating was an issue make sure you catch yourself, 2 mince pies fine…..6 maybe not. Before you start to eat something can you separate the food so you have your portion on a plate?

I know it’s hard to think old habits will creep back in, be strict and give yourself a date too that you get back on it.

Firstly, well done, OP, you have done amazingly well. Be proud.

I have the same worries this year. I've lost 7 and a half stone, so not quite as much as you but enough for me to worry it will all come undone if I'm not careful. Christmas is a worry.

I've decided to give myself set days where I am allowed to not worry about what I eat. I'm going to be mindful of what I eat and make sure I don't eat when I'm full or take a second piece of cake just because but I'm also not going to worry about how many calories I'm eating.

I've given myself Christmas Eve (only the evening), Christmas Day, and Boxing day as worry-free days. The day after boxing day I am aware I'll be hungover and knackered so I won't be as strict with myself but I will count my calories for that day and try not to go over maintenance. After that I'm going back to my three calorie-counted meals a day until NYE, then I am having NYE, NY day as worry-free days, and the 2nd as a maintenance day.

I think by planning days I can eat whatever and planning which days I need to go back on plan I will give myself more of a chance of getting back to normal after the festive period.

Thank you for the replies, always good to know others have the same concerns.
I like the idea of set days

Well it happened, ate way more than I wanted or hoped to. Must get back on it today but I know it's going to be really hard

You have got this! Don’t feel guilty about what you have eaten, life would be boring otherwise. Draw a line under it and start fresh. You can and you will do this 🥰

Thanks, I'm beating myself up a bit but 2 weeks off overdoing it won't put all my weight back on I know that
