Help! Keep stuffing my face with sweets

I've successfully dieted in the past so I know I can do it but...

Am a mum to 4.5month baby going through a sleep regression. I'm having a little bumpy ride at the moment emotionally as not getting enough sleep and baby is SCREAMING whenever he's not being cuddled for large parts of the day. And when I'm getting emotionally overwhelmed I'm stuffing my face.

I've put on at least a stone, maybe two or more, since having him and I'd like to stop, I've got really enormous.

Any hints or tips for what else I can eat or what else I can in these danger moments?

I ordered some sugarless sweets and chocolate. You have to test a few different brands out to find one you like. I got them because I wanted to switch to low carb but still satisfy any sweet tooth cravings. Also make yourself some keto chocolate nut clusters. They taste completely normal but are low sugar

Been there, done that. Every time the baby slept I would stuff myself because of anxiety. Now that the baby is currently almost 6 months and I have stopped, just about.

The only way I could do it was to stop buying sweet things, especially the ones I was addicted to - wagon wheels, marshmallows, Maltese’s….

I increased my water intake because I was breastfeeding and found that if I drank 3L a day my appetite went down (one pint before food, one large cup of herbal tea after).

I bought something small to eat as a snack every day - like a small breakfast bar, so that after lunch it would hit the spot, but the calories were not too bad (some are 100 calories).

I also started walking an hour a day just to get me out of the house. This helped my anxiety a little, and she finally falls asleep peacefully in the pushchair.

Hope this helps. I lost 9 ibs this way.

Chewing gum might help with the distraction effect of eating something, possibly. Be careful with sugar free sweets because they have a laxative effect and it seems some people are worse affected than others, I can't eat them at all.
